On Saturday, October 12, Drake Well Museum and Park and the Friends of Drake Well, Inc. will host the museum’s biennial Pithole Lantern Tours. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. at Historic Pithole City located at 14118 Pithole Road just off Route 227 near Plumer, PA.

Event admission is $10.00 for adults (12+ years) and $8.00 for youth (3-11 years). Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.drakewell.org/shop-online/product-categories. Space is limited!

Tours will begin at 6:30 p.m. and depart every 10 minutes. The evening’s final tour will depart at 9:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold until the final tour is full. Tours will last approximately 1.5 hours and cover nearly 1.5 miles. Participants must be able to traverse steep hills and semi-rugged terrain and are encouraged to arrive early, wear sturdy shoes and bring a flashlight.

In addition to a tour, visitors will enjoy free admission to the exhibit, music from the Venango Brigade, and a game of 3 card monte. Food will be available for purchase from Hawk’s Grocery and Smokehouse.
