$53,360Job Summary / Basic Function

The Assistant Director of Admissions aids in the recruitment of undergraduate students to PennWest University. This position includes a wide variety of tasks such as executing all aspects of recruitment travel potentially including in-state and out-of-state recruitment, implementing and executing the recruitment plan, reading and evaluating applications for admission, initiating yield activities, assisting and/or planning on-campus and off-campus events and building relationships with counselors for a group of students.

Essential Duties:Develop, implement, and monitor all aspects of admission for a cohort of students.
Utilizing the Office of Undergraduate Admissions’ CRM system (Slate) for territory management.
Managing a specific recruitment territory or territories and represent the university at off campus recruitment events.
Managing a cohort of applicants, ensuring completion of materials, and rendering of final decisions in a timely manner.
Work in coordination with Undergraduate Admissions Campus lead to plan, execute and assist in on-campus events.
Implement on-campus recruitment and yield activities for students.
Facilitating group information sessions and conducting individual appointments for prospective students.
Building relationships with high school and community college counselors to assist in out-reach to students and their families.
Building relationships with traditionally unrepresented students.
Creation and implementation of a special project in the office. Special projects included but are not limited to the managing on-campus event planning, assisting with enrollment communications, supporting diversity efforts, assisting with the admissions CRM (Slate), liaison to high schools or colleges, Transfer Student/Community College Relations, School Counselors, etc.
Other duties as assigned depending on operational needs.
Work can be assigned and reviewed by any member of the leadership team, which includes the Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Management, the Associate Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Manage, Campus Leads for Undergraduate Admissions, and other senior SEM and Admissions leadership. This position reports directly to the Clarion Campus Lead/Executive Director of Undergraduate Admissions.Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
