Take a walk with the park naturalist as we go out searching for the American Woodcock, also known as the Timberdoodle or Bogsucker. The male birds spend spring nights dancing high in the sky as they try their best to impress potential partners. Please dress for the weather and bring a flashlight. REMINDER: The bridge by the park office is CLOSED. To reach the Petroleum Centre Train Station from Oil City, take Rt. 8 to State Park Road and continue for 2.8 miles. The parking lot will be on the left after crossing the train tracks. To reach the Petroleum Centre Train Station from Titusville, take Rt. 8 to Petroleum Center Road and continue to the stop sign. Turn right, then continue straight. The train station will be on your right, and the parking lot on your left. Call 814.676.5915 for further direction if needed.
