Vision Bowl is an annual event hosted by Venango County Association for the Blind (VCAB) in order to spread awareness and raise funds for programming that assists in preventing eye injury and promoting healthy eyes as well as providing services for individuals facing blindness and low vision.

VCAB is focusing awareness on a new service that will be provided beginning January 1, 2025.

All proceeds from the event will be utilized to assist in funding the Vision Rehabilitation Therapy services coming in January. Vision Rehabilitation Therapists (VRTs) help individuals safely and efficiently carry out their daily activities at home, on the job and in the community.

VRTs promote optimal personal and social adjustment to blindness, leading to self-sufficiency and independent living. Currently there are only 16 Certified VRT’s in the entire state of Pennsylvania. VCAB will soon have our own CVRT on staff and be able to provide these valued services.
