Red Eye Theatre Project Auditions (Memorial Day Weekend)

May 27, 2023 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

What can you do in 24 hours?

Get ready for another Off-Barrow Red Eye Theatre Project! This production is put together from start to finish in just 24 hours, making for a unique, fun-filled weekend experience! Anyone can participate. Absolutely no experience is required!

After auditions and casting on Friday, writers will work through the night to create an original script. Directors and actors return on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. for a meet-and-greet breakfast, then rehearse until the afternoon. A final dress rehearsal with light costumes, props, and some tech will be held prior to the public performance on Saturday.

Auditions are on May 26 at 7:30 p.m. Come prepared to read with anything at all (a newspaper, a cereal box, a script, etc.)!

Public Performance: May 27 at 7:30 p.m.

Those interested in writing or acting: Please contact Nicholas Hess at nicholas.a.hess@gmail.com by May 22.

Have a fun night out with a truly one-of-a-kind performance! If you’re not ready to take to the stage, join us Saturday, May 27 at 7:30 p.m. for a unique performance that is cast, written, directed, rehearsed, and performed in just 24 hours! There will be a cash bar. Tickets are $12 at the door.

The Red Eye Theatre Project occurs twice a year and began in 2017. A series of online performances was even created during the theatre’s “extended intermission” in 2020.
