ORAS Astronomy Public Night
Weather permitting, the Oil Region Astronomical Society will be hosting a public night this Saturday. Come take a peek through some of our many telescopes; including our 30-inch dobsonian! (Pictured in this event posting.) Ask our amateur astronomy team any questions about the universe that you’ve always been curious about. There are typically education presentations prior to observing. To see a full list of our events and programs, visit www.oras.org.
The time of the event is from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. (weather permitting).
The topic is as follows: “Photography: Birds to Stars.”
Can your digital camera be used to make images at night? Absolutely. This presentation provides tips on how to make impressive wildlife images during the day and dramatic star images at night using the same camera and lenses.
The presenter will be Mr. Dean Salisbury, vice president of ORAS.
