On Saturday evening, the Oil Region Astronomical Society will have the grand opening of its facility at 4249 Camp Coffman Rd., near Kossuth. The schedule is as follows.

5 – 8:30 PM — Tour the new facilities and enjoy hotdogs and hamburgers from the grill (at no charge).
5:30 – 6 PM — Grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting
6 – 7 PM — Educational presentation — “Searching for Planet Nine,” with Dr. Arthur Kosowsky, professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh
7:30 – 9 PM — Bring your own telescope — ORAS members will answer questions and offer advice on how to set up and operate your telescope.
9:30 – 11:30 PM — Night sky observing with the largest telescope available to the public in western Pennsylvania (weather permitting)
