Public night presentation: Lunar and Solar Eclipses, with ORAS member Gary Purinton. Weather permitting, the event will be followed by night sky observing through ORAS’ 30-inch telescope. This will be ORAS’ first in-person event for over two years. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our site!

Gary Purinton has been an educator for over 26 years. He is a retired planetarium teacher, and has taught astronomy at Clarion University.

Location: Our observatory is located in southwest Venango County, between Franklin and Clarion. It is on Camp Coffman Road, approximately 1500 feet north of Camp Coffman.
