At Home Dinner Concert with Wyllis Street Band
March 12, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
The Oil City Arts Council will present another Virtual Transit Concert with Wyllis Street Band on Friday
March 12, 2021 at 7:30 pm. The concert is one of several that the Arts Council’s Programming
Committee converted from live events to virtual in response to challenges presented by the COVID-19
pandemic; and its Friday evening timeslot creates an enjoyable dinner concert to take in from the
comforts of home.
The Wyllis Street Band comprises Steve Woods on rhythm guitar, Andy Young on lead guitar and vocals,
Marc Rickard on percussion and vocals, and Jess Rosen on vocals.
The band started 7 years ago with Steve and Andy just practicing for several years. Marc was a great
addition a year and a half ago with his percussion and additional vocals; and joining them just a short
time later was Jess bringing more vocal talent to the band.
The band’s genre is rock and blues and a few songs you thought you knew but weren’t sure. They play a
great mix of classics as well as some more obscure songs ranging from the 1960’s through the 2000’s.
On March 12, you can support your local economy by getting takeout from your favorite local restaurant
before the concert in advance. Then at concert time (7:30 pm), click on the link
https://www.oilcityartscouncil.org/all-events/concerts/transit-concert-series/wyllis-street-band/ to
enjoy the show. Previously recorded virtual events are also available by clicking the “Past Events”
button.
The in-person Transit Concerts are normally held in the Great Room of the National Transit Building on
the second Friday of fall/winter months for an admission cost of $10.00 at the door, but the virtual
concerts are free and can be enjoyed from any device, wherever you are. The March 12 event is the
final Virtual Transit Concert of the 2020-2021 schedule: for more information and other upcoming
events, visit the Oil City Arts Council online at www.oilcityartscouncil.org or Facebook
