Have you always wanted to hike the Gerard Trail, but thought 36 miles was just too much? Join us for the kick-off of our Gerard Trail Series of hikes on National Trails Day. We’ve split the trail into 5 shorter loops, which we will be hiking on a few Saturdays throughout summer. Attend all 5 hikes, and you will officially complete the Gerard Trail!

For this first hike we will be meeting at the Jersey Bridge Trailhead at 10:00am and heading out for a 5 mile hike on rough, hilly terrain. Ages 16+. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Registration is required. To register, call or email the park naturalist at 814.676.1810 or ikuberry@pa.gov. Dress for the weather, and bring a lunch and plenty of water. Wear comfortable, worn-in hiking shoes. More details given upon registration.
