Old Home Day is right around the corner (Monday, September 2, 2019). It seems like we just cleaned up from Old Home Day 2018! We have been looking over the past years and seeing how much this event has grown, it is incredible! All the work that goes into Old Home Day may seem exhausting, but to see the smiles on everyone’s faces on Labor Day makes every bit worth it. We could not do any of this without the help that every one of you gives us, from your monetary donations to community center supplies, from Chinese Auction items to volunteering your time. Old Home Day has become a huge event and we want you to know that everything you do to help is greatly appreciated! *With the number of people attending, only service animals are permitted at this event*

Building Donations – We have prepared a list of items that if donated not only help keep our rates low but also allow us to put all monies towards our much-needed updates! If you are interested in donating send us an e-mail and we will send you a list of what we are in need of.

Kitchen – The kitchen will open at noon. We will be selling hot dogs, cheese/hamburgers, kraut dogs, fresh cut plain or garbage fries, walking tacos, hot sausage sandwiches, pasta and macaroni salads, baked beans and beverages. Ice-cream will be sold out of the garage, BBQ ham and BBQ chicken sandwiches will be sold outside of the main building, “pies and cakes” will be sold in the dining room (we are in need of pie, cake, cookie and brownie donations, send us an e-mail if you are interested in donating one of these).

Car Show – Our car show is growing so much with every passing year. Old Home Day 2018 we had 184 cars registered and a dozen or more cars that did not register! We have been blessed to have people coming from a distance to see what our “little” event is all about, and they keep coming back! Register for a chance to win one of our many donated by local businesses door prizes (last year we had 92 items given away). Also, when you register you will receive a coupon to get a free ice-cream or beverage! The registration trailer will open at 11:00AM.

Chinese Auction – Just like the car show the Chinese Auction is growing at a rapid rate! Last year we had 155 items donated to our auction by local families and local businesses! The auction will run from 11:00AM-4:00PM, the drawing will begin at 4:00PM sharp and you do not need to be present to win.

Entertainment – This year we are pleased to announce that we will be having Leather and Lace playing from 1:00PM to 3:30PM and Sawyer Stepp and Company playing from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. Come out to hear some awesome live and local music!

Craft/Vendor Market – We are excited to announce that we will be bringing back the Craft/Vendor Market for Old Home Day 2019! Each space will be 20×20 for $10.00, you will need to provide your own tables, chairs and awnings (if you choose). Spaces are open to anyone with a home-based business (Ex-Avon, LuLa Roe, Home Made Items) or anyone with everyday items for sale (yard sale/garage sale items). **NO ANIMALS ARE PERMITTED** Spaces will be limited, this will be a preregister and prepay event.
