October 9, 2020

Venango County Human Services will be holding a special Facebook event on October 9, 2020, to start a conversation about Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). NAS is a condition where babies are born addicted to drugs or alcohol. These children can suffer repercussions from this condition well into adulthood.
To raise awareness, we are asking you to wear a bowtie or pearls, or both, and post your picture on our Facebook page NAS post (www.facebook.com/VENCOHS). You can send pictures from your workplace, your home, place of business. There can be one person in the picture or a group. There will random drawings from the posts to win gift cards! Please join us in raising awareness about a disease that is becoming more prevalent in our communities. If you would like more information on NAS, go to https://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/aboutus/pregnancy/nas.html.
Thank you for your continued support.
