Edwina Gateley, a poet, artist, writer, international speaker, is a single mother who inspires. She will be giving a conference and retreat in Oil City, PA. The public is invited to attend one or both days:

Friday, Oct. 18, 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM:
Rhoades Auditorium, Clarion University-Venango Campus, (1801 West 1st St., Oil City)
Theme: “A Call to Personal and global Transformation.”

Edwina will share her faith journey from Africa to the bars and brothels of Chicago where she worked with drug addicts, prostitutes and homeless, eventually starting a program for women in recovery. We will be challenged as explore our call to respond to present needs and make a greater difference in our world than we think we can. (CEU hrs. and ACT 48 hrs. available)

Saturday, Oct. 19, 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM:
1st Presbyterian Church, Community Room (215 E. Bissel Ave, Oil City)
Theme:  “Rediscovering and Claiming the Feminine Soul.”

With Edwina participants will explore how women have a significant role to play in bringing balance and healing to our world of violence and suffering. Through scripture and contemporary stories, we will be encouraged to believe in our personal call to become Mystics, Saints and Prophets. This day will have a more reflective and prayerful tone. U
