Discover Aquatic Life Using our NEW Discovery Tanks!
October 18 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
FreeJoin us at the Venango Conservation District office (4871 US 322, Franklin, PA 16323) to learn about the critters that live in our streams and lakes, how to identify them, and ways to protect them!
Discovery tanks bring the stream to you! Participants are able to observe live aquatic macroinvertebrates such as crayfish, mayflies, stoneflies, and others in an interactive environment. Our watershed specialist, Bailey Kozalla, will provide a brief introduction at the beginning of the event about these creek critters and how we use them to understand water quality. Afterwards, participants will get to interact with the tanks and practice their identification skills.
This program is FREE, family-friendly, and for all ages!
Please register by October 17th by contacting Bailey Kozalla by phone at 814-676-2832 ext. 2 or by emailing bkozalla.vcd@gmail.com. Please include your name, contact information, and number of participants. Due to space, this program is limited to 20 participants.
