Tarbell House Summer Tea Series: Women Artists of the Oil Region

$15.00Join Oil Region Alliance (ORA) and the Oil Region Coalition of Artists (ORCA) this summer at the Tarbell House for a three-course tea featuring presentations of artwork by local women artists. There are four dates available: June 15 is Julia McCray of Tionesta and her nature-inspired drawings and paintings; July 13 is Susan McGuire of Oil City and her recycled art; August 7 is Andrea Obert of Erie and her pen and ink drawings; and September 7 is Barbara Jewell Proper of Titusville and her diversified crafts.
Catering assistance is provided by Hawk’s Grocery & Smokehouse of Hydetown, with homemade scones by local baker Katie Huber. The Tarbell House is the restored childhood home of Ida M. Tarbell and is located at 324 East Main Street in Titusville. It is an ADA-accessible and air-conditioned facility with a private restroom.
Guests are asked to arrive at 12:30 p.m. for a guided house tour, and the first course is served at 1 p.m. Courses will be served at intervals during the artist’s presentation. The program will end at approximately 3 p.m., at which time guests are welcome to peruse the displays and purchase artwork from the artist. The sale of art does not benefit the ORA, Tarbell House, or ORCA.
