TITLE: Workforce & Education Initiatives Manager
POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt, Fulltime
POSITION REPORTS TO: Director of Events and Partnerships
POSITION OVERSEES: Workforce Initiatives Coordinator; Data Management Intern (Wage & Policies)
POSITION SUMMARY: The Workforce & Education Manager is responsible for nurturing and expanding the Chamber’s workforce strategy through employer-driven talent initiatives and partnerships, collaborative funding and policy strategies, and oversight of the Chamber’s business/education programming.
Primary Responsibilities:
General
• Lead employer-driven talent pipeline initiatives, such as Talent for Tomorrow, to create industry and educational alignment to meet critical job demand.
• Develop and manage programming related to career readiness, work-based learning, and Lancaster’s workforce ecosystem (i.e., Intern Bridge, Workforce Roundtables).
• Manage the writing, recording, and production of the Chamber’s podcast
• Manage the strategic implementation, revision, and communication of the Chamber’s Wage and Policies Survey
• Research and implement any additional workforce/business/education partnership related funding streams (i.e. grants or ExtraGIVE)
• Manage the Chamber’s NxtGen Mentoring initiative for members of the Young Professionals Network and Women in Business community
• Build and manage relationships with collaborative partners on workforce initiatives and business/education partnerships, such as Career Ready Lancaster!, the IU-13 Career Readiness Collaborative, the Workforce Alliance and others as assigned
• Lead or support collaborative projects designed to improve the workforce ecosystem in Lancaster County (i.e., ACHIEVE, Talent Attraction Guide)
• Create and manage a Workforce Advisory Group to inform the Chamber’s Workforce Strategy
• Participate as available in conversations and opportunities to understand workforce policy and develop relationships with public officials and government employees.
Business/Education Partnerships
• Lead the development and implementation of the Chamber’s Discovering Paths career exploration initiatives:
o Manage all Discovering Paths Mentoring program aspects, including sourcing and confirming speakers, providing oversight of facilities procurement, technology, equipment, and logistical requirements, coordinating student, and mentor
recruitment and training process, and developing and maintaining relationships
with schools and educators.
o Manage program budgets and maintain or develop sponsor relationships.
o Manage the Discovering Paths Advisory Group, Liaisons, and School Facilitators.
o Support the Marking & Communications Department with creative brainstorming and promotional tactics for mentor and sponsorship recruitment.
o Manage the development and execution of the Discovering Paths Student Industry Tours.
o Manage the development, implementation, and scheduling of Discovering Paths Career Readiness Workshops.
o Create and implement processes for continual improvement.
• Provide planning, project management, and supportive execution to business-education partnerships, such as the Pequea Valley First Choice Mentoring Program.
• Provides support and strategy to the Workforce Initiatives Coordinator, including the oversight of work-based learning programming and resources, such as Inspire Lancaster.

• Represent the Lancaster Chamber in a professional manner at all times.
• Abide by and follow the Lancaster Chamber Employee handbook.
• Abide by and uphold the Chamber’s vision, mission, strategic initiatives, and core values.
• Capability to attend and work at Chamber events that occur before or after normal business hours.
• Additional duties as assigned.
