Dollar General is hiring for Picker Packer – Dollar General The Picker Packer at Dollar General plays a crucial role in the warehouse team by accurately and efficiently picking and packing orders to meet company standards and customer satisfaction. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities: 1. Order Picking: • Accurately pick items from shelves based on order specifications. • Ensure correct quantities and items are picked according to order sheets. • Use RF scanners or other technology to track inventory and orders. 2. Packing: • Pack picked items securely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit. • Label packages with appropriate shipping information. • Prepare packages for shipping by sealing boxes and adding packing materials as needed. 3. Inventory Management: • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records. • Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies. • Ensure products are stored in the correct locations and are easily accessible. 4. Quality Control: • Inspect items for damage or defects before packing. • Report any issues with inventory or orders to the supervisor. 5. Safety and Cleanliness: • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse. • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely. 6. Team Collaboration: • Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to complete tasks efficiently. • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred. Skills: • Strong attention to detail. • Ability to follow instructions and work independently. • Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). • Basic math skills for inventory and order counting. • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and technology (RF scanners, etc.). Working Conditions: • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
