We’re seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor to provide clinical treatment to individuals in need of behavioral health services. Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop Positive Behavior Support Plans under the guidance of a program manager or supervisor.
- Assist with care coordination to ensure clients and families receive high-quality, comprehensive services.
- Facilitate referrals for additional clinical services during treatment and at discharge.
- Provide individual and family therapy in community, inpatient, and/or outpatient settings.
- Monitor and evaluate behavior plans post-implementation to determine effectiveness and update as needed.
- Provide clinical supervision to assigned staff through individual, group, and on-site sessions, including participation in treatment team meetings.
- Apply behavior support techniques to develop and implement individualized behavior plans with fidelity.
- Deliver direct care services to assigned clients.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other service providers to ensure integrated care.
- Utilize structured clinical assessment tools to evaluate psychiatric symptoms, family functioning, and academic achievement, and effectively communicate results and recommendations.
- Participate in interagency team meetings and support the resolution of issues related to service delivery.
- Attend and engage in ongoing training to maintain and enhance service provision skills
- REQUIRED: Master’s degree in psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral principles, assessment/evaluation processes, and the DSM (current version) preferred.
- Licensure/Certification preferred: Behavior Specialist License, BCBA, NCC, CPRP, Alcohol Highway Safety Instructor, or similar behavioral health credentials.
- Required Training & Clearances:
- Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCM) training within 60 days of hire and annually thereafter
- Act 34 Clearance
