The City of Oil City will kick off its 150th anniversary celebration with a ceremony in Justus Park to view time capsule items that were buried in 1971. Event attendees will hear from local representatives, commissioners, and city dignitaries in addition to keynote speakers that will address the past, present, and future of Oil City. The event will feature special performances by the Oil City High School Band, Oil City High School Choir, and Venango Catholic High School Bell Choir. Immediately following the ceremony, birthday refreshments will be served at the Venango Museum of Art, Science, & Industry.
