The Porter-Huber Jazz Combo is a group of enthusiastic musicians that has a love for instrumental jazz music and standards from years gone by. Nelson Porter, on trumpet, valve trombone and keyboards, has been playing professionally for over forty years. He has been a fixture in the local music scene as a guitarist, bassist, vocalist and trumpet player. Bill Huber has been a professional gig musician for over fifty years and plays in the style of jazz greats such as Joe Pass, Herb Ellis, George Benson, and Pittsburgh native Joe Negri. Both Nelson and Bill are also members of popular local band Lawyers, Guns & Money. The quartet is rounded out by Patrick Huber on drums, and Preston Huber on bass guitar. While young in performance years, their abilities surpass their experience in playing the jazz instrumentals that we love so well.
