Empty Bowls
March 29 @ 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
$15 – $20
Community Services of Venango is hosting the Ninth Annual Empty Bowls event on Monday, March 29, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Wanango County Club. Empty Bowls will serve up a meal of soup, bread, and cheese & crackers as a reminder that too many people throughout our region are facing hunger with “empty bowls.”
With the price of admission, guests will enjoy a selection of delicious flavors of soups from several community members as well as several local restaurants.
More than 350 handmade bowls were donated from the Cranberry Area Schools District, Oil City Area School District, Forest Area School District, Franklin Area School District, and Valley Grove School District.
All guests in attendance select a hand-made bowl to take home as a reminder that many of our neighbors need our help to fill their “empty bowls.”
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
THIS EVENT IS NOT POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF OUR GENEROUS SPONSORS!
A silent auction is held to purchase pottery donated by community artists along with a basket raffle and a 50/50 raffle this year.
Empty Bowl events have taken place nationally and internationally, and have helped raise millions of dollars to combat hunger.
